Indian Pacific Itinerary:
Day 1: Sydney & Blue Mountains
Your transcontinental adventure begins as we pull away from the platform in Sydney in the mid-afternoon. As we wind our way through the truly breathtaking Blue Mountains, a sumptuous dinner accompanied by an array of fine wines is served. After dinner, feel free to relax with a nightcap, before heading off for a restful night’s sleep
Day 2: Broken Hill, Barossa Valley & Adelaide Surrounds
We arrive in the ‘Silver City’ that is Broken Hill as the day begins, where you embark on your choice of Off Train Excursions that encompass the mining and cultural history or the unexpected oasis of art. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast back on the train as we make our way west. Relax and take in the views and before you know it, lunch is being served as the Indian Pacific enters the southern tip of the spectacular and ancient Flinders Ranges. Arriving in the beautiful and elegant city of Adelaide in the afternoon, guests have the choice of a tour of the city or a visit to the world-famous and historic wine region of the Barossa Valley or the Adelaide Hills region including a delectable visit to Hahndorf. All tours include dinner. Reboarding the train late in the evening, feel free to share your experiences in the Lounge with old and new friends alike, before getting a comfortable nights sleep.
Day 3: Nullarbor Plain
You’ll awaken in the seemingly endless expanse that is the extraordinary Nullarbor Plain. Breakfast is served as you travel along the longest stretch of straight railway track in the world. Relax, read, chat or just take in the ever-changing views. That evening enjoy the tranquility of dinner off the train and under the stars in the remote and beautiful Rawlinna.
Day 4: Avon Valley & Perth
Breakfast is served as we glide through the colourful patchwork of rolling hills that is the Avon Valley as we make our way to Perth, arriving after an onboard lunch.
Perth and Rottnest Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Perth
On arrival at Perth Airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel (flights anytime).
Hotel: Travelodge Perth (Standard), Perth, 3 nights.
Day 2: Perth – Fremantle
Take in the must-see sights of Perth and Fremantle, starting at Kings Park, the lush green heart of the city and one of the world’s biggest inner-city parks. Enjoy a picturesque drive along popular Cottesloe Beach, then wander the streets of historic Fremantle with its cosmopolitan cafés and faithfully-restored period buildings. Relax on a cruise along the Swan River, passing exclusive riverside suburbs, the Royal Perth Yacht Club and the University of WA.

Day 3: Rottnest Island
Cruise along the Swan River to Fremantle today before heading to Rottnest Island. Located 19 kilometres off the mainland, this car-free A-class nature reserve is home to spectacular white sandy beaches, secluded bays, unique wildlife and shipwrecks. You’re sure to encounter a quokka! You’ll learn about its colourful history on a comprehensive circumnavigation of the island, stopping at some of Rottnest’s most spectacular locations, including the Wadjemup Lighthouse and the lookout at rugged West End. After lunch, there’ll be time to explore at leisure before re-boarding your ferry to Perth.

Day 4: Depart Perth
Your Short Break concludes this morning after breakfast. You’ll be transferred to Perth Airport to connect with your onward flight (flights anytime).
